Govt tightens sugar stock holding limit

In a latest bid to control spiraling sugar prices the government has decided to curtail the amount of sugar food and beverage companies sugar stock. The companies like, Pepsi and Cadbury, will now be allowed to stock sugar worth only 10 days consumptions or 50,000 tonnes, whichever is less.
