Secret Love - Chris Lawton at St John Vianney Catholic Church, Clayhall, London

Me at the Compton organ of St John Vianney Catholic Church in Clayhall, London. <br /><br />Im playing 'Secret Love' as sung by Doris Day and there is no avoiding the distinctive tone of the melotone which comes out of the 2 horn speakers which can be clearly seen situated on top of the chambers. <br /><br />The organ was originally installed by the John Compton Organ Company Ltd at the Ritz Cinema in Nuneaton and has 3 manuals, 6 ranks of pipes and of course the melotone unit. When this church was built in the late 1960s, rather than spend large sums of money on a new organ the priest at the time was a cinema organ enthusiast and had this organ installed here. <br /><br />Many thanks to the church officials for allowing me access to this 'church cinema organ' and for making me so welcome.<br /><br />NOTE: this is purely my interest in order to make sure that these fine organs are archived forever and I do not make any monetary profit by this video being on youtube.
