Showbags a highlight of sideshow alley for generations of Australians
One of the most prized possessions from most Australian events or festivals is the showbag. It was once known as the sample bag and is known as a quintessentially Australian invention. The Sydney Royal Easter show features a historical collection of 550 showbags stretching as far back to 1929 and is the largest in Australia. It is all thanks to the efforts of the Royal Agricultural Society.
