Stock Market Today: S&P 500, Dow Futures Surge Despite Iran Saying Trump Admin Is 'Negotiating With Itself'
U.S. stock futures rose on Wednesday following Tuesday’s declines. Futures of the major benchmark indices were higher.<br /><br />President Donald Trump‘s ceasefire hopes were dimmed by Iran on Tuesday, the top spokesperson for Iran's joint military command, Ebrahim Zolfaqari, said that Washington was "negotiating with itself."<br /><br />Meanwhile, the 10-year Treasury bond yielded 4.34%, and the two-year bond was at 3.87%. The CME Group's FedWatch tool‘s projections show markets pricing an 95.9% likelihood of the Federal Reserve leaving the current interest rates unchanged in its April meeting.<br /><br />The SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (NYSE:SPY) and Invesco QQQ Trust ETF (NASDAQ:QQQ), which track the S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100, respectively, were higher in premarket on Wednesday. The SPY was up 1.04% at $660.00, while the QQQ advanced 1.19% to $590.9.
