Venezuela’s acting president Delcy Rodríguez announced that oil investment is expected to reach 1.4 billion dollars this year, declaring the country’s ambition to move beyond merely holding the world’s largest crude reserves and instead become a “giant producer” alongside Russia, the United States, and Saudi Arabia. Speaking to national and foreign oil executives in Caracas, Rodríguez said Venezuela is recording its highest peak of oil reserves after 108 years of exploitation and highlighted the signing of 29 productive participation agreements.
