1982 Skitzoyoyo
By Mark Fielding Darden
and Teresa Raper

Mark Fielding Darden: melody, rhythm guitar, drums, secondary bass guitar, lyric editing, video
Teresa Raper: original vocal, lyrics, and song inspiration
Little Miss Coomer: secondary vocal and harmony
Milton Gore: original bass guitar
Byron McCay: slide guitar
Dave Collins: lead guitar

This was recorded on a Sony four track Teac in my kitchen (in Boylan Heights, Ral/NC) before the Choke Monkey Lounge was built in the garage downstairs. Byron McCay played slide guitar. Dave Collins played the majority of the lead. Milton Gore played bass. I played rhythm guitar, drums and secondary bass. Teresa Raper wrote the words. I edited the lyrics, added the melody, and made it into a song.

A lot of fidelity has been lost over the years, though I was able to recreate the vocals (with harmony) sometime around 2008. A girl I was dating brought her very talented little daughter (Little Miss Coomer) to visit and she sang over Teresa’s faded vocals. She did an incredible job, too. I then replayed Milton’s bass, edited parts of the song, and called it done. I created the video in 2024. The song was copyrighted several times but most definitely in 1983.

WARNING: If you listen to this song three times in a row, you’ll be singing it for the rest of your life.
