Victoria's sentinel chickens used to detect mosquito-borne diseases being replaced with technology

For the past fifty years, Victorians have been protected from invaders by an army of chooks stationed along the Murray River. Flocks of sentinel chickens have helped scientists detect mosquito borne diseases entering the state. But technology has led to their retirement.
