Guardian newspaper columnist George Monbiot arrested at Extinction Rebellion protest in London

The Guardian newspaper Columnist George Monbiot was arrested on Wednesday (October 16) for defying a police ban on Extinction Rebellion protests.<br /><br />Extinction Rebellion protesters were seen cheering as the climate activist was taken away in a police van. <br /><br />"They are going to arrest us, they are not going to arrest a rebellion," Monbiot said as he was being arrested.
