This show of Evening With Shireen with Chef Shireen Anwar aired on 18 September 2019. <br /> <br />If you enjoy cooking Pakistani food and are looking for recipes, videos of LIVE shows, totkas, and other food stories in both Urdu and English, subscribe to this YouTube channel or go to our Website: https://www.masala.tv/<br /><br />Tandoori chicken with garlic rice:<br /><br />Ingredients<br /><br />Chicken 1 kg <br />Garlic paste 1 tbsp heaped<br />Tandoori masala ½ packet<br />Chili powder ½ tsp heaped<br />Salt ½ tsp<br />Yogurt 1 ½ cup<br />Oil ¼ cup<br />Allspice 1 tsp<br />Chat masala ½ tsp<br />Lemon juice 2 tbsp<br />Black pepper pinch<br />Orange red color pinch<br />Sambal oleak 1 tbsp<br />Method<br />Marinate chicken with all the given spices, yogurt, heat oil in a pan, add marinated chicken, cook until done, keep the chicken saucy, give dum of coal.<br />Ingredients for rice<br />Boiled rice 2 cups<br />Onion chopped ½ cup<br />Cumin seeds 1 tsp<br />Garlic crushed 1 tbsp<br />Salt 1 tsp<br />Soya sauce 2 tbsp<br />Ingredients for garnishing<br />Onion rings for 1 onion<br />Tomato rings of 1 tomato<br />Capsicum rings of 1 capsicum<br />Green chilies julienne 4<br />Coriander leaves 2 tbsp<br />NoteCut the veggies in round slices, stir fry all of them separately in 2 tbsp oil for 2 mins.Method for rice Heat oil in a wok, add chopped onion and garlic with cumin seeds, fry till garlic light golden, add boiled rice with ¼ cup water, cover and leave it on dum till rice done, dish out the rice, add the tandoori chicken mixture on top, now add the stir fried veggies on top and enjoy.<br /><br />Apple cookies:<br /><br />Ingredients<br /><br />Flour 2 cups heaped<br />Butter 5 ounces<br />Yogurt 1 tbsp<br />Egg yolk 1<br />Caster sugar 3 ounces<br />Vanilla essence ½ tsp<br />Ingredients for stuffing<br />Apples peeled and grated 2<br />Brown sugar 2 tbsp<br />Butter 1 tbsp<br />Cinnamon ½ tsp<br />Walnuts chopped ¼ cup<br /><br />Method<br /><br />Scrape the apples and cook them together with sugar and butter in a sauce pan until dry, stir constantly, remove from fire, add cinnamon and walnuts, in a bowl beat softened butter with caster sugar, add yolk and yogurt, add the flour and form it into a dough, pre heat oven to 170 d, divide the cookie dough into small pieces, form it into a ball, press in against a curved knife to get a wavy shape of the cookie, in the middle of the dough in length, while the dough is on knife, put 1 tsp of the stuffing and press both ends to seal, place the dough on a tray covered with baking paper, bake the cookie for 20 mins until slightly light brown, let them cool, sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.<br /><br /><br />Mayo garlic kebab:<br /><br />Ingredients<br /><br />Tikka boti ½ packet <br />Potatoes boiled / mashed ½ kg.<br />Salt ½ tsp<br />Red pepper crushed ½ tsp<br />Behari boti masala ½ packet<br />Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp<br />Yogurt 2 tbsp<br />Salt ½ tsp<br />Sambal oleak 1 tbsp<br />Soya sauce 1 tbsp<br />Coal for smoke<br />Egg 1<br />Bread crumbs as r
