Plastic-for-rice exchange feeds hungry Filipino village

A village outside the Philippine capital Manila launched a program that will allow villagers to trade a kilogram of plastic waste for half its weight in rice, in an attempt to motivate people to dispose of trash properly and clean up the streets in the process.
