S. Korea to invest $35 billion to expand health insurance system

'필수의료•적정진료 보장' 건보체계 구축에 5년간 41조 투입<br /><br />The government has decided to invest thirty-five billion U.S. dollars over the next five years... to expand the current health insurance system. <br />The health ministry says it will work to raise what is known as disability-adjusted life years to 75 by 2023.<br />The disability-adjusted life year is a measure to show how many years people are expected to live healthy lives without disease, illness or disabilities. <br />The government will also look to expand the health insurance coverage rate to 70 percent. <br />
