France's Macron salutes soldiers in airport, after shooting

French centrist presidential candidate Emmanuel Macron paid tribute to Sentinel soldiers as he began a speech on his defence policies on Saturday (March 18), after security forces shot dead a man who seized a soldier's gun at Paris Orly airport soon after the same man shot and wounded a police officer during a routine police check, the interior minister said. <br /> <br />The man was known to police and intelligence services, French Interior Minister Bruno le Roux told reporters.
