John Coltrane Quintet - My Favorite Things

Let's continue our tribute to this jazz giant with this December 4, 1961 performance shot for the German TV. He is accompanied by Eric Dolphy on flute and alto sax, McCoy Tyner on piano Reggie Workman on bass and Elvin Jones on drums. This is Coltrane's famous reworking of Rodgers and Hammerstein's My Favorite Things where the quintet literally soars.
