European Military Observers: 'We Have Not Been Mistreated'

<p>European military observers detained in Ukraine say they have not been mistreated. Spokesman for the group, Axel Schneider from Germany, spoke at a press conference in Slovyansk on Sunday. Schneider said their mission was transparent, and “all OSCE members including Russia knew about it.” He told members of the press that he and his colleagues were being treated well by the local “mayor”.</p><p>Separatist Mayor Ponomaryov said the men would not be released. “We are in a war situation here, will not simply release detained officers,” he said. “I wanted to reassure their families.” Credit: YouTube/Graham Phillips</p>
